Trainers will sometimes tell us "you can't offer the same personal tuition and attention that you can in the classroom". And, as educators and trainers ourselves, we recognise that great teachers are a source of inspiration and motivation for many learners. ...Increasingly, the L&D function is dealing with remote teams and extremely varied and diverse development needs. Development is no longer seen as a series of 'one-off' events, rather as a continuous journey that should be an integral part of normal work. New skills are required on a 'just-in-time' basis. The point at which the learner has a need to know how to do something, is the point at which they need the training on how to do it.
