A Recent LearnWorlds Project (Transition of LearnDash Courses to LearnWorlds)

In this instance, the client had already evaluated and decided to move their on-line courses from their WordPress LearnDash site to LearnWorlds. Phase One involved the complete set-up of the LearnWorlds site from scratch to mirror their existing WordPress (LearnDash) site – so the page design and content had to be near identical, and, in the interim implementation phase, some pages would remain on the original site until moved over to the new platform. This required a method of  seamless transition between the two sites I.e. branding, headers and footers would need to be identical.

What made the project challenging was that there was a fixed, immovable deadline of the 15th December 2025 when the first ‘live’ training was already scheduled to run from the new site. Work started in the last week of November!

Types of Training:

This was not a typical LearnWorlds installation as the courses were a mixture of asynchronous (self-paced) learning and “live” synchronous learning workshops running for a period of up to 5 days.

This instructor-led training required users to log in to the LearnWorlds site, complete certain pre-course modules and activities and then the full course was unlocked on the first day of the workshop.

Learners would enter the course in LearnWorlds and then open a second window providing a “portal” to a third-party course player where the instructor would present the content live.
