As Instructional Designers, we hadn’t really given too much thought to the power that adding the right music and sound to our designs could bring to the learning experience. Where music was required, we would rely on stock, royalty-free libraries; search on a few key words like “inspiring” or “bright” and then hope we could find something that might fit.
Frankly, the results were pretty “uninspiring”. A lot of these type of instrumental soundtracks are good – but composed for a broad range of uses.
